Hello
A bit of background for this problem: Dispersion forces, hydrogen bonds, and dipole forces are all inter molecular forces (forces between 2 or more molecules). Dispersion forces are only found in non-polar molecules of two atoms and are the result of shifting electron clouds. With that said, 12.2 Assessment #16 a-d DUE Tues 4/13 8:00 AM Have fun out there. . Apologies for the delay. This problem should take less than 5 minutes...
Complete 22.1 #6 DUE FRI 3/26 8:00 AM . 1. Name three structural isomers of octane. Example; 2,2-dimethylhexane. (2,2-dimethylhexane is not allowed anymore)
2. Describe how ethane makes the transition from the staggered stereoisomer to the eclipsed stereoisomer. . Complete #21 a and b from section 21.3.
Remember to give the lowest number possible to the double bond... Due Friday 3/19 at 8:00 AM Complete the worksheet "Naming and Drawing Alkanes". Submit answers for #8 and #9 to the blog.
Watch out on #9. Carefully select the longest carbon chain. Due Tuesday 3/16 at 8:00 AM. Check the Unit 8 page. The paper study guide and a practice multiple choice test is available.
